What do volunteers do at the Hot Slaw Festival?

Volunteers may participate in a range of roles and duties. Your duties will depend on the shift you choose and what roles must be filled. Some common volunteer duties at the Hot Slaw Festival include:

  • Greeting and welcoming festival attendees

Can I receive credit for service hours for my school or work?

While we cannot guarantee that all schools and organizations will approve this event for service hours, the Hot Slaw and Art Y’all Festival is a non-profit event funded by partnerships and sponsorships. Most non-profit events qualify as service opportunities for students and employees looking for service hours. You can learn more about the Hot Slaw Festival here.
At the end of your shift, the Volunteer Director will provide you with a service completion form to submit to your organization.
